Winning TAKE 5 Ticket Sold In Rockland County

Meanwhile, curiosity mounts over a $1 million lottery ticket sold in New York City and about to expire.

SPRING VALLEY, NY — One top-prize winning ticket was sold for the Aug. 22 TAKE 5 EVENING drawing — in Rockland County, New York Lottery officials announced.

The ticket, worth $34,828.50, was purchased at Alizeh Food Mart at 22 N. Main St. in Spring Valley.

TAKE 5 numbers are drawn from a field of one through 39. The drawing is televised twice daily at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. TAKE 5 players with midday and evening draws on the same ticket must check their numbers at nylottery.ny.gov to determine if they have the winning numbers for the corresponding midday or evening drawing.

A Lottery draw game prize of any amount may be claimed up to one year from the date of the drawing.

As first reported by the Uptown Collective, the ticket will expire on Sept. 28. It was sold at the Broadway Newsstand at 4766 Broadway, near Dyckman Street. The ticket was for a second prize in the Mega Millions drawing from Sept. 28, 2021, where the winning draw was 18-30-43-68-69 and the Mega Ball 22.
