Winter Weather Advisory Issued for the Hudson Valley

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the lower Hudson Valley.

• Winter Weather Advisory in effect from March 9, 10:00 PM EST until March 10, 02:00 PM EST
• Hazardous Weather Outlook

The Lower Hudson Valley could see 3 to 5 inches of snow overnight Thursday, with the most snow south of I-84.

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet, or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.

But as the storm sweeps down on us, there are still uncertainties.

This will be a very narrow band of snow," said Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather. "The most notable uncertainty is the location of the frontal boundary to our south, which will determine the track of the storm, and thus… the location of the steadiest accumulating snow."
