The Dance-a-thon is opened to all local high school students (freshmen to seniors) and they can earn community service hours.

Youth for Hospice (YFH), the teen volunteer service group of United Hospice of Rockland (UHR), will hold its eighth annual Dance-a-thon on Friday, March 6, 2015, from 7:30 PM - 11:00 PM at Clarkstown South High School, 31 Demarest Mill Road, West Nyack, NY. The event is open to all high school students (freshmen to seniors) and proceeds benefit UHR directly. This year’s theme is black and white attire. Students are encouraged to raise money by asking friends, family and neighbors to sponsor their participation. Minimum $30 donation is requested and advance registration is required, no walk-ins are allowed. Those who raise $100 or more will not have to pay for admission to the dance and will win a door prize! There will be a DJ, complimentary snacks and beverages. All participants will earn 3.5 community service hours if they raise $40 or more in sponsorships, or volunteer for set up or clean up of the dance.

Pre-registration is required and will be limited to 500 registrants. Online registration is open until noon on March 6 at www.hospiceofrockland.org/youth-hospice. You may also download your registration forms; payments with forms can be mailed to or dropped off at UHR office until 5 PM on March 6.
