2 Dead After Car Crashes Into Building

The driver lost control after taking the exit too fast, police said. Both he and his brother were killed.

NEW HYDE PARK, NY — Two brothers were killed after the car they were driving crashed into a building, New York State police said on Friday.

The crash took place on the eastbound Northern State Parkway at exit 26S in New Hyde Park. Djeffry Louis, 26, of Rosedale, was driving a blue 2019 Nissan Sentra with his brother, Jonathan Louis, 21, of Rosedale, as his passenger. Louis was speeding as he drove onto the exit ramp to New Hyde Park Road, police said. He lost control, went off the parkway and crashed into an adjacent building at 3111 New Hyde Park Road, police said. The two men were pronounced dead at the scene.

New York State Police request that anyone who may have seen the crash contact State Police Farmingdale at (631) 756-3300.
