40 Firefighters Scrambled To Franklin Square House Fire: Fire Marshal

FRANKLIN SQUARE, NY — Two people are out of their home Monday after a house fire broke out on Semton Boulevard that required about 40 firefighters to extinguish, officials said.

The Nassau County Fire Marshal’s office said a fire alarm was raised at 3:48 p.m. Monday at the Semton Boulevard home, with the Franklin Square & Munson Fire Department responding first. Franklin Square firefighters received assistance from Garden City, Garden City park, Malverne, New Hyde Park and South Hempstead departments, bringing the total firefighting force to about 40, officials said.

The firefighters were able to bring the fire under control in about 40 minutes with no injuries, officials said. In the aftermath of the fire, two adults were displaced from the home while the NCPD arson/bomb squad and Nassau County Fire Marshal’s office have begun investigations, officials said.
