Alternative Energy Day at Port Washington Farmers' Market Saturday
Meet solar, wind and geothermal companies as well as service providers of energy audits and agencies that can answer questions.

On Saturday at the Farmers’ Market at the Town Dock in Port Washington, Grassroots Environmental Education is hosting its Alternative Energy Day.
There, you can meet solar, wind and geothermal companies as well as service providers of energy audits and agencies that answer frequently asked questions. The event aims to offer information for using a renewable energy source at home so that residents can have power and comfort even during severe power outages, organizers say.
A builder of the “Passive House,” which originated in Germany, will exhibit and offer the visitors to speak directly with an expert in this alternative construction technique.
