NEW HYDE PARK, NY — Nassau County police said they were looking for a woman Thursday who had defaced a statue at an elementary school in New Hyde Park.
According to police, the incident took place at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Notre Dame Elementary School. The still unidentified woman walked onto the school grounds, defaced a St. Michael statue and left on foot, police said.
Police have described the woman as white, and said she was last seen wearing a pink shirt, blue jeans and carrying a suitcase. Police have requested that anyone with information on her whereabouts contact crime stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS or call 911.
