• 9/11-related cancers continue to rise 25 years after attacks (firerescue1.com) — From its New Hyde Park–based health system, Northwell reports a sharp rise in 9/11-related cancers among people enrolled in its World Trade Center Health Program. Local residents who lived, worked, or responded near Ground Zero are urged to consider screening and can apply for federally funded benefits or contact Northwell's Queens WTC clinic for specialized evaluation and care.
