Bellerose Woman Arrested In Illegal THC Bust, Police Say

BELLEROSE, NY — A Bellerose woman is facing controlled substance charges Thursday after she was found selling THC products out of a Jericho Turnpike storefront during an investigation, police said.

Nassau County police said 31-year-old Jaspira K. Thomas was arrested after an investigation at Hempire, located at 244-08 Jericho Turnpike in Bellerose. She’s now being charged with fifth-degree attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance and two fifth-degree counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said.

Thomas’ arraignment was scheduled for Thursday, police said, while the Town of Hempstead Building Department was called to Hempire to secure the property.
