Children's Medical Fund Raises Over $850,000 for Children's Mental Health at 51st Annual Outing

The Children's Medical Fund (CMF) celebrated its 51st Annual Golf & Tennis Charity Classic on June 15, 2026, with a memorable day of philanthropy, community, and recognition, raising over $850,000 to support children's mental health initiatives.

A highlight of this year's event was the presentation of the inaugural Martin Lifton Humanitarian Award to Steven Lifton and his son, Jason Lifton. As the recipients of the award, they were recognized for their exceptional generosity, leadership, and longstanding commitment to improving the lives of children and families.

“It is an honor to lead this charity in its initiative to support children’s mental health, and to see all of the support given to the Lifton family and CMF,” said David Blumenfeld, CMF chairman. “Without the participation of the Lifton family, our sponsors, players, donors, staff and volunteers, the event’s success wouldn’t have been possible.

Proceeds from the event will benefit CMF’s recently announced $5 million pledge to the new Behavioral Mental Health Facility at Cohen Children's Medical Center, part of Northwell Health. The state-of-the-art center will expand access to critical behavioral health services for children and adolescents, helping address the growing need for pediatric mental healthcare.
