Cops: 71-Year-Old Man Sent Sexual Text Messages to 13-Year-Old Girl

A 71-year-old Manhattan man sent text messages of “a sexual nature” to a 13-year-old Nassau County girl, police said.

Vincent T. Iannaco was arrested at his home on Saturday night.

According to police, Iannaco met the teen through the cellphone social media apps Kik messenger and Whisper. Iannaco posed as a 31-year-old man and then sent the girl explicit messages beginning on Nov. 4, police said.

The girl’s parents contacted police after discovering the messages, police said. 

Iannaco is charged with first degree disseminating indecent material to a minor, second degree disseminating indecent material to a minor and endangering the welfare of a child. He was due to be arraigned on Sunday at First District Court in Hempstead.
