Cops: Woman Tries to Withdraw Funds from Another's Account at New Hyde Park Bank
The incident occurred Saturday, police say.

A Manhattan woman attempted to withdraw money from another woman’s account at a New Hyde Park Bank on Saturday, authorities said.
Nassau Police say Sabrina L. Spencer entered the Chase Bank at 350 Hillside Avenue and presented a forged withdrawal slip in an attempt to withdraw money from a female victim’s account. Spencer also presented a fake New Jersey driver’s license and Bank of America Mastercard as identification.
As the bank manager verified the identity of the account holder, Spencer left the bank, police said.

Responding police officers spotted Spencer hiding behind the garage of home on N. 2nd street. As the officers attempted to arrest Spencer, she began “flailing her arms and kicking the officers refusing to be handcuffed,” according to a news release. After a brief time, she was placed under arrest, according to police.
Spencer is charged with third-degree attempted grand larceny, three counts of second-degree possessing a forged instrument, first-degree identity theft and resisting arrest.
