Drunken Driver Seriously Injures Passenger in Roslyn Harbor Crash: Police
A BMW crashed into a utility pole Saturday afternoon, police said.

An Illinois man faces assault charges after police said he drove drunk and caused serious injuries to a female passenger after crashing his vehicle in Roslyn Harbor on Saturday afternoon.
According to authorities, Scott J. Jutkins, 37, of St. Charles, was driving a 2011 BMW westbound on Bryant Avenue when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a utility pole near Motts Cove Road South at 1 p.m.
A 36-year-old woman in the car was taken to an area hospital where she was listed in serious condition following the collision.

Jutkins was charged with second degree assault and driving while intoxicated.
He will be arraigned Sunday at First District Court in Hempstead.
