Floral Park Students Raise Money For The Hearing Impaired
Floral Park Memorial High School's Leo Club raised money to help lower the expense of hearing aids for those with trouble hearing.
From Syntax: Floral Park Memorial High School’s Leo Club recently participated in the “Deaf for a Period” fundraiser. Participants simulated being deaf during their physical education or health classes to raise awareness of hearing impairment. The club received donations from sponsors and the monies raised were donated to the Floral Park Lions Club’s Lend an Ear project, to be used to help defray the cost of hearing aids for the hearing impaired.
