Herricks Public Schools Appoints 2 New Administrators
Natasha Khan will serve as director of guidance, K-12. Eleni Chronas will assume the role of assistant director of pupil personnel services.

The Herricks Public Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of two new administrators who will begin their positions in the district on July 1. Natasha Khan joins Herricks as director of guidance, K-12 and Eleni Chronas will assume the role of assistant director of pupil personnel services.

Ms. Khan has an extensive background as a school counselor and has dedicated the past 16 years to her work as a counselor in the Garden City School District. Ms. Khan is a certified mindfulness practitioner and wellness coach practitioner. She obtained her Bachelor and Master’s degrees in psychology and school counseling from St. John’s University, certificate in college counseling from UCLA and advanced certificate in educational leadership from Long Island University. She has held leadership positions in the Nassau County School Counselor’s Association, and was the recipient of the Nassau County Counselor of the Year Award in 2014.
Ms. Chronas is an experienced teacher, school psychologist and supervisor of school psychologists. She currently serves as the Assistant Director of PPS in the Garden City Public Schools. Ms. Chronas holds a Bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University, a Master’s degree from Touro College and a diploma in educational leadership from Queens College. She is a member of the Long Island Association of Special Education Administrators and has been involved with a variety of special education programs and services.

“Ms. Kahn and Ms. Chronas are child-centered educators who bring tremendous experience, knowledge, and passion to their new roles in Herricks,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Fino Celano. “They will both play critical leadership roles as we focus on meeting the social-emotional needs of our students and families when we return from our school closure."
