LIRR Cancellations, Delays Expected for AM Rush After Non-Passenger Train Derails

Limited Long Island Rail Road service has been restored after a non-passenger train derailed at Jamaica Station Wednesday morning, but the key word is "limited."

"Expect delays of at least 60 min & cancellations for AM rush," the LIRR said on Twitter.

NYC Transit is cross-honoring LIRR tickets at Penn Station, Jamaica, Atlantic Terminal and Hunterspoint Avenue.

No injuries were reported in the derailment, which occurred around 4 a.m.
