Man Burglarized 2 New Hyde Park Homes: Police
The man stole jewelry, electronics and cash from the homes Thursday afternoon, police say.

Authorities arrested a Queens man for burglarizing two New Hyde Park homes Thursday afternoon, police say.
Everton D. Augustus, 27, of Springfield Gardens, stole assorted jewelry, electronics and an undisclosed amount of cash from a Blossom Lane home at approximately 3:35 p.m. and a short time later stole assorted jewelry from an Evergreen Lane home, police say.
An investigation identified Augustus as the person allegedly responsible for these burglaries and he was placed under arrested at his home Friday at 12:30 p.m. without incident.

Augustus was charged with two counts second-degree burglary and was arraigned Saturday at First District Court in Hempstead.
