Man Robs Bellerose Gas Station at Gunpoint

A Bellerose gas station was robbed at gunpoint Sunday morning, police say.

According to authorities, a 27-year-old employee was working inside 76 Gas Station, located at 248-02 Jericho Turnpike, when an unknown man walked behind the register and demanded cash while displaying a black handgun at 2:56 a.m.

The employee complied and the robber fled the store with the proceeds north on 91st Street. No injuries were reported.

Police described the robber as white, 25-30 years of old, 5 feet 10 inches tall and 150 pounds.
