Meet Carey High School's September Seniors of the Month
Find out why they received this recognition.

H. Frank Carey High School students Angela Rizzo and Michael Langis were selected as Seniors of the Month for September. Find out why.
Angela Rizzo is described as articulate and ambitious; dedicated and determined; enthusiastic and energetic. She shines among her peers, not only because of her superior academic achievement and innate ability, but also as a result of her integrity and spirit. Over the years, Angela has extended her time and talents to Carey through her involvement in countless clubs and activities. She is president of Class Board, senior editor of LOG, co-president of Think Pink, co-president of the Foreign Language Honor Society, vice president of 21st Century Scholars, as well as a member of the National Honor Society and Science Honor Society. Her record of personal, extracurricular and academic achievement is phenomenal and worthy of recognition.
There is not an event that exists at Carey that Michael Langis is not an active participant. He is an energetic and dedicated president of the Student Government, as well as Class Representative for the Class of 2016. His leadership continues to shine as the historian of the National and Tri-M Honor societies, vice president of Model United Nations and vice president of the Senior High Orchestra. He also serves as the vice president of DJ Club, treasurer of 21st Century Scholars and baby picture editor of the yearbook. In addition, Michael volunteers on Saturday mornings at Kids Learning Loft, where he spends time with a young child who has autism. He plans to pursue a career in special education and has gained much experience as an extremely compassionate helper to the Promoting Academics through Life Skills program at Carey.
