The Town was judged by an impartial panel to see if it met the high standards of the program, including demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate its financial standing.
The nonprofit GFOA, which serves approximately 17,500 government finance professionals, looks to enhance and promote the professional management of governmental financial resources by identifying, developing and advancing fiscal strategies, policies and practices.
