New Hyde Park Honors National Merit Finalists

The students were recognized for the outstanding achievements.

New Hyde Park Memorial High School seniors Rena Fukuda and Sam Kooran were named finalists in the National Merit Scholarship Program.

Each year, an estimated 1.6 million high school students across the nation enter this academic competition by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. Rena and Sam received Certificates of Merit and will be considered for National Merit Scholarships to be offered in the spring. Principal Dr. Richard Faccio congratulated the students on this outstanding achievement.
