New Hyde Park Wins Award Of Excellence For Artwork

The exhibit celebrates the exceptional artwork, as selected by their teachers, of AP art students in Long Island high schools.

New Hyde Park Memorial High School art student Katie Gutierrez received an Award of Excellence for her work showcased in the Art League of Long Island's "Go APE" exhibit, which is now in its 13th year. The exhibit celebrates the exceptional artwork, as selected by their teachers, of AP art students in Long Island high schools. Participants included 134 students from 39 high schools, with eight students selected for the Award of Excellence.
