Voters Approve NHP-GCP School Budget, Board Members

New Hyde Park-Garden City Park residents headed to the polls Tuesday.

New Hyde Park-Garden City Park residents approved a 2016-17 school budget on Tuesday.

The $37,527,240 budget was approved by a margin of 810-338, according to Newsday. The budget is a 1.99 percent increase in spending over the current year and it comes with a 0.38 percent tax levy increase.

Voters also reportedly elected the below three candidates to the NHP-GCP Board of Education.
