NHP Model UN Team Attends Competition at Rutgers University
New Hyde Park represented the nations of Argentina, Belize, Poland, Rwanda and Tanzania.

The New Hyde Park Memorial High School Model United Nations team competed at the Rutgers University Model UN competition held in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
The conference brought together more than 1,000 students from all over the country to debate such important topics as gender equality, the rights of refugees, child trafficking and combating the international drug trade.
New Hyde Park represented the nations of Argentina, Belize, Poland, Rwanda and Tanzania. Led by juniors Hailey Lynch, Rebecca Mathew, Danni Schwartz and Logan Ward, the team worked diligently and truly lived up the tenet of eat/sleep/MUN.

Congratulations to students Nicole Joseph and Megan Masilungen, the designated delegates on the Commission on the Status of Women committee for the nation of Argentina for receiving an award for the Best Position Paper.
Great work New Hyde Park! The team will next compete at the Boston University Model United Nations conference in February.
