NHP Student Named Johns Hopkins Competition Semifinalist
She was among 25 students selected for this honor.

New Hyde Park Memorial High School eighth-grade research student Megha Gopal was selected as one of 25 semifinalists in the Johns Hopkins University 2016 Center for Talented Youth Cogito Research Awards.
Megha entered the contest with a research plan she created in class. Her entry was one of 250 submitted to the contest. According to the Johns Hopkins website, the contest was created to enable bright middle and high school students to conduct research in any science, technology, engineering and math field. Winners will be selected in January.
Principal Dr. Richard Faccio and the entire administration at New Hyde Park congratulate Megha on this achievement.
