NHP Students Win Irish Writing Competition

The students were part of a group of 610 talented poets who created 1,350 Gaelic Quatrains in the competition.

New Hyde Park Memorial High School students Aisha Abdelhamid, Nathan Edwards, Christina Jacob, Ramsha Shoaib, Melvin Thomas and Grant Wong were named winners in the Martin J. Kelly Writing Contest of the Irish Cultural Society.

The students were part of a group of 610 talented poets who created 1,350 Gaelic Quatrains in the competition. Principal Dr. Richard Faccio congratulated the students for this outstanding achievement.
