North Hempstead Proposes Pay Increases For Elected Officials
Town board meets Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in Manhasset.

The North Hempstead Town Board will discuss Tuesday a resolution calling for a public hearing Dec. 10 regarding proposed pay increases of the salaries of elected officials for the 2014 calendar year.

Some other issues affecting Port Washington to be discussed at Tuesday's meeting:
- A public hearing will be held to consider the adoption of an ordinance to establish parking restrictions from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on school days to allow for school buses, on the east side of Highfield Avenue, north of Avenue C, in Port Washington.
- A resolution setting a Dec. 10 date for a public hearing regarding the adoption of a proposed ordinance to establish parking restrictions, for a short distance, on the east and west sides of Osprey Court, to allow a sufficient turning radius for tractor trailer deliveries, in Port Washington.
- A resolution setting a Dec. 10 date for a public hearing regarding the adoption of a proposed ordinance to extend the presently posted three-hour parking restriction further north of its present location on the east side of Irma Avenue, north of Jeanette Drive; and at the same time establish the same three-hour parking restriction on the west side of Irma Avenue, between Lannon Place and Mallon Place, in Port Washington.
- A resolution authorizing the town board to accept a gift by Port Washington artist Ed Balcourt.
