Nassau Pedestrian Hit, Killed By Car
Police say the 34-year-old woman was hit and killed by a silver 2009 Honda Accord.

NORTH NEW HYDE PARK, NY — A pedestrian is dead after she was hit by a car while crossing a street Thursday morning in New Hyde Park, police said.
Kim Mar, 34, of Queens, was crossing Union Turnpike around 7:30 a.m. when she was hit by a silver 2009 Honda Accord, the NYPD said. The vehicle had been heading northbound on Lakeville Road and was turning left onto Union Turnpike when it hit the woman.
The driver remained at the scene. Police found Mar lying on the street. She was unconscious and not breathing, and had suffered injuries throughout her body.

Emergency responders rushed her to North Shore University Hospital where she died, police said.
No arrests have been made. An investigation remains ongoing.
