NEW HYDE PARK, NY - From Sewanhaka Schools: This year New Hyde Park Memorial High School eighth-grade technology classes took part in a digital citizenship unit in the library, where students participated in the New York State Kids Safe Online Poster Contest. Students had to create a poster informing their peers about cybersecurity and ways to use the internet safely. New Hyde Park had one finalist, ninth-grader Marilyn Ramirez, and one New York State winner, eighth-grader Helee Shukla, whose poster will appear in the New York State calendar distributed to all schools in the state. Helee’s poster is now also entered in the national competition!
