Police: Man Arrested For Trespassing Into Elementary School

The man fled the Floral Park school when spotted by faculty members last week, police say.

A 29-year-old Suffolk County man was arrested on Monday for trespassing into an elementary school in Floral Park last week, police said.

Frank Fellini, of Brentwood, is charged with third degree criminal trespass, a misdemeanor.

Fellini was arrested on Monday at Tulip Avenue and Laurel Street in Floral Park, less than a half mile from Our Lady of Victory School, the Catholic school that police say Fellini entered on the afternoon of June 8 while school was in session.

Fellini walked through the front door of the school on Bellmore Street and down the stairs into a men’s bathroom, police said.

At the same time, there was a fire drill at the school and Fellini was spotted by faculty members, police said. The teachers tried to stop the man, but he fled out of the school, police said.

Following his arrest, Fellini was released on a desk appearance ticket returnable to First District Court in Hempstead on June 30.
