Dean and teacher assistant Mike Ryan and retired faculty member Julie Fanelli have been running the operation with the assistance of Doris Brown, Deidre Kelly, Liliana Bascetta, Joseph Botka, Kerry Jansen and Maryanne Contarino, among other volunteers. They collect items and food from the community and staff every Wednesday. In that same day, they put together at least 70 bags to distribute on Fridays. On some Fridays, Fanelli said, they continue to make bags because they have so many donations. The donation bags can contain diapers, hygiene products, dog and cat food, detergent, toilet paper, paper towels and more.
