Sewanhaka School Budget Passes
The Sewanhaka Central High School District school budget was passed.
NEW HYDE PARK, NY--Sewanhaka School District voters approved a 2019-20 school budget on Tuesday.
The $203,562,035 proposed budget was approved by a margin of 2,581-1,227. The budget is a 2.49 percent increase from the current year's. It's accompanied by a 2.69 percent bump in the tax levy. That is at the district's tax levy cap, so the budget only needed to be approved by a majority vote.
