NEW HYDE PARK, NY — If photos are any indication, North Hempstead officials seemed to have enjoy the Sons of Italy in America's annual Italian festival. The event, held Aug. 23 at Michael J. Tully Park in New Hyde Park, was hosted by Cellini Lodge No. 2206.

Judi Bosworth, the town supervisor, visited pasta and zeppole booths, meeting with volunteers and giving a helping hand with serving food. She also met with residents at the festival.

Proceeds from the festival provide about 80 percent of the lodge's revenue for the entire year and help fund local scholarships and national charities.
