The third Gold Coast International Film Festival, which kicks off Oct. 21, has released new details on films and Q&A panels. The lineup taking place in theaters across North Hempstead includes:
“Teddy Bears”

Arts and Business in North Hempstead
An upcoming meeting focused on the arts and business is designed to address the arts as an economic engine.
In a free seminar and art exhibition, The Town of North Hempstead’s Business and Tourism Development Corporation will host “The Business of Art – Round 2.” The forum’s exhibit focuses on funding sources for artists, nonprofits and entrepreneurs.
The event will be held Friday, Oct. 25th from 8:30-10:30AM at the “Yes We Can” Community Center at 141 Garden Street, Westbury.
Scheduled speakers for the event include: Lisa Robb, Executive Director of the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA), Peter Cobb, Program Officer, The New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA), and Roz Goldmacher, President/CEO, Long Island Development Corp (LIDC).
The art exhibition component will feature the work of Robert Carter, Emmett Wigglesworth and Mario Tucci. Pieces from these artists will be on display at North Hempstead’s “Yes We Can” Community Center. Town of North Hempstead, ArtsBuild New Cassel, BTDC, Art League of Long Island and LIDC/LISBAC will be sponsoring the event.
