Tom Morello To Join Springsteen For ‘Land Of Hope And Dreams’ Tour
The Boss performed with the Rage Against The Machine guitarist at January's "Defend Minnesota: A Concert of Solidarity and Resistance."
BELMONT PARK, NY. — The E Street Band got a brand new (guest) member Tuesday, as Bruce Springsteen announced that Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello would be performing at every stop on the band’s “Land of Hope and Dreams” U.S. tour, which stops at UBS Arena on May 5.
Springsteen announced the guest appearance Tuesday, noting that this won’t be the first time Morello has performed with the E Street Band. From 2012 to 2015, Springsteen said, Morello toured as a guest member of the band and appeared on two Springsteen albums: “Wrecking Ball” and “High Hopes.” Springsteen returned the favor in 2021, performing on Morello’s solo album, “The Atlas Underground Fire.”
Throughout the course of his career, Morello’s music has been the score to numerous protest movements, some of which are local to Long Island. In January, the guitarist led a concert in Minneapolis titled, “Defend Minnesota: A Concert of Solidarity and Resistance," where Springsteen made a guest appearance.
