Town of North Hempstead to Hold Memorial Service on September 11
The service will honor the 56 individuals from the Town of North Hempstead who lost their lives on this tragic day 14 years ago.

The Town of North Hempstead will hold a memorial service to remember those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, including the 56 individuals who called the Town of North Hempstead home.
The 14-year anniversary service will be held at Mary Jane Davies Green, located on Plandome Road in Manhasset, which is across the street from Town Hall.
The service will be open to the public. “The ceremony serves to provide all who endured the tragedy of September 11 time to reflect upon its impact and remember those we lost that day,” Town Clerk Wayne Wink said.

The service will begin Friday, Sept. 11 at 8:30 a.m.
“This service gives us the opportunity to remember and honor each and every one of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, including the 56 individuals who called North Hempstead home,” Supervisor Bosworth said. “By joining together as a community we are able to continue to heal with those who lost loved ones on that perilous day.”
