Voter's Guide: Herricks 2017-18 School Budget, Board Election
What you need to know for election day.

Herricks residents will vote on the school district’s $111,215,736 proposed budget for the 2017-18 school year on Tuesday, May 16.
The proposal calls for a .82 percent increase in spending over the current year and the tax levy increase is 1.62 percent, which is the allowable tax levy cap.
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Community Center, located at 999 Herricks Road in New Hyde Park.

Two incumbents are running unopposed for two seats on the Board of Education, Newsday reports. They are Tara James Gounaris and Henry R. Zanetti.
