“Billy Carr will fight for middle-class Long Island families in Albany and I’m proud to endorse his campaign,” County Executive Curran said. “Having spent his entire career outside of politics, as a union-employed electrician for the past 22 years, Billy will bring a fresh perspective to Albany to deliver for his district.”

“In the Assembly, Billy will fight for lower taxes, higher school aid and a better quality of life for working, middle-class families. I look forward to campaigning with Billy as he pushes toward November.”

“Laura Curran’s leadership has been a catalyst for growth and restoring faith in government. For too long Nassau County has been mired in corruption and her leadership is bringing Nassau County back to prominence,” Mr. Carr said. “I am honored to have her endorsement and look forward to working with her when elected to bring a practical, working-class mentality to the State Assembly.”
For the past six years, Mr. Carr has served as trustee for the Village of Williston Park. He has a lifetime of service that includes volunteering for the Freeport Fire Department, the Boy Scouts of America and coaching various sports in the St. Aidan’s Church Catholic Youth Organization and local leagues. The father of four is a working union electrician in Local 3, IBEW.
“Long Island has been hit hard by the absence of a working-class voice in Albany,” Mr. Carr said. “The State Assembly doesn’t need any more lawyers. It needs a clear, working-class voice that will represent Main Street and not Wall Street. When elected, I will fight for the right priorities so there is a promising future for all Long Islanders.”
