$1M Powerball Ticket Purchased in New Rochelle

The winning ticket was one of three sold in New York.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY - While no one in New York won the big prize for Saturday’s Powerball jackpot of $429.6 million, one ticket sold in New Rochelle is worth $1 million.

According to the New York Lottery website, a ticket matching five numbers, but not the Powerball number, was purchased at New Roc Deli, 215 North Ave., in New Rochelle.

There was one winner who got all six numbers. That ticket was sold in New Jersey.

Seven second-prize-winning tickets, each worth $1 million, were purchased in California, Illinois, Virginia and New York.

The two other $1 million tickets sold in New York were on Long Island: one at the 7-Eleven located at 85 Merritts Rd. in Farmingdale and the other at Ebony Cards & Gifts located at 2107 Dutch Broadway in Elmont.

The winning numbers for the Saturday, May 7 drawing were: 05, 25, 26, 44, 66. The red Powerball number was 09.

The next Powerball drawing will be Wednesday, May 11. The jackpot is $40 million.
