2 CT Women Arrested After 1-Car Crash In New Rochelle
Police said one woman was drunk and the other tried to interfere in the arrest.
NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A Connecticut woman was accused of drunken driving after a one-car accident on I-95 Wednesday in the City of New Rochelle. State police said the accident occurred around 11:50 p.m.
Erika L. Lahaie, 26, of Norwalk, Connecticut, was the driver and was found to be intoxicated, police said.
While the trooper was taking Lahaie into custody, the passenger of the car, Nicole I. Hernandez Nunez, 27, of Norwalk, Connecticut, tried to interfere and prevent Lahaie's arrest, police said.

Neither women were injured in the crash.
Both were taken to the New Rochelle barracks for processing.

Lahaie's blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.27 percent.
She was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, an unclassified misdemeanor.
Hernandez Nunez was charged with second-degree obstructing governmental administration, a misdemeanor.
Lahaie was turned over the Hernandez Nunez and they were both released on appearance tickets returnable to the City of New Rochelle Court June 15.
