2 Winning Powerball Tickets Sold In Westchester

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — There was no top-prize winner, but two winners in New Rochelle and White Plains are each $50,000 richer and might not even know it yet.

The New York Lottery announced three third-prize tickets worth $50,000 each were sold for the October 10, Powerball drawing. The winning tickets have four matching numbers and the Powerball.

One ticket was sold at the Shop-Rite located on Joyce Rd. in New Rochelle, while another ticket was sold at the Acme market on Knollwood Rd. in White Plains. A third ticket was sold upstate at a Tops Market in Baldwinsville.

The winning numbers for the drawing were 3-6-11-17-22 with a Powerball of 11. The winner has one year from the date of the drawing to claim their prize.

The winning numbers for the Powerball game are drawn from a field of one to 69. The red Power Ball is drawn from a separate field of one to 26.

The Powerball drawing is televised every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 11 p.m. For an extra $1, players can add Powerplay, which multiplies a prize – not including the jackpot – by up to 10x.

The jackpot for the drawing to be held Wednesday night is an estimated $420 milion.
