21-Year-Old Shooter Fired At Acquaintance Following Argument: NRPD

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A disagreement turned violent this weekend, according to New Rochelle police.
On Saturday, around noon, the New Rochelle Police Department received a report of gunshots near Remington Place.
Officers who arrived on the scene found that a confrontation had taken place between two people who know each other. The disagreement culminated in one person shooting at the other.

Police say that the suspected shooter then fled the area. There were no reports of anyone being hit with gunfire.
NRPD detectives investigated the shooting and arrested a suspect later that day.

The gun, a 40 caliber Glock handgun reported stolen in Georgia, was recovered.
21-year-old Kollin Francis, of New Rochelle, was charged with felony first degree reckless endangerment, felony second degree criminal possession of a weapon, felony first degree attempted assault and felony fourth degree criminal possession of stolen property.
