2nd Teen Charged In Fatal New Rochelle HS Student Stabbing
The charges stem from the teen's actions where the stabbing took place.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A 15-year-old has been arrested on charges related to the the murder of Valaree Schwab. The juvenile, whose name was not released by police, was charged with hindering prosecution and tampering with physical evidence, felonies.
Police said the charges stem from the teen’s actions at scene of the crime the day Schwab was stabbed and killed.
The teen’s case will be adjudicated in Family Court, police said.

Schwab, 16, a New Rochelle High School student, was stabbed Jan. 10 while she was in the Dunkin’ Donuts on North Avenue.
She was taken to Jacobi Medical Center where she died.

Z’inah Brown, 16, surrendered to police the next day and was charged with second-degree murder, a felony.
