3 Mount Vernon Men Arrested For Robbing New Rochelle Delivery Driver
The armed men accosted the victim who was delivering food at Cliff Street, taking cash & jewelry before fleeing the scene, police said.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Three Mount Vernon men are in custody after robbing a food delivery driver in New Rochelle, police said.
Tuesday, shortly after 3 p.m., New Rochelle police were called to Cliff Street on a report of an armed robbery. The victim, a food delivery driver, told police he was accosted by two Black men who were both armed with handguns, who took approximately $50 and jewelry from him.
Detectives were able to quickly develop leads and soon identified the vehicle believed to have been involved in the robbery. The Westchester County Police Real Time Crime Center was notified and was able to help in identifying the vehicle and informing other police agencies in the county to be on the lookout for the suspect vehicle.

The vehicle was then found parked and unoccupied in the City of White Plains. Multiple police agencies, including White Plains, Greenburgh and Westchester County, as well as the FBI Safe Streets Task Force, responded to the scene.
Shortly after finding the vehicle, three suspects were located nearby, according to police. The suspects attempted to flee on foot but were apprehended without injury after a brief foot pursuit, authorities said. Officials said two semi-automatic handguns were located in the vehicle, one of which was a ‘ghost gun’ with an extended magazine.

Three Mount Vernon men, Andrew Matthews, 27, Kassem K. Harris, 27, and Herman I. Turner, 29, were arrested. They were each charged with felony robbery, felony criminal possession of a weapon and an additional felony weapons charge for possessing an extended magazine.
