33-Year-Old Wounded In Overnight Shooting On Main Street

Officials said there is no suspect information at this time, but it is believed that the shooter fled in a black sedan.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Police are looking for a yet unidentified gunman after shots rang out on Main Street shortly after midnight.

At about 12:13 a.m., New Rochelle police responded to 361 Main Street after calls reporting gunfire in the area. Officers recovered shell casings at the scene.

Investigators soon found a victim of the shooting at a local hospital. The 33-year-old New Rochelle man suffered a single gunshot to his leg. His injuries are being described as "non-life-threatening."
