34,000 Still Without Power In Westchester Sunday
Con Edison will be distributing dry ice in two locations Sunday.

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — Work to restore power around Westchester County is continuing Sunday. An enormous workforce will be working around-the-clock. Electricity has been out to almost 34,000 Con Edison customers since Monday when Tropical Storm Isaias tore through the Hudson Valley.
According to a post on Con Ed's website, "Some restorations will take place early next week. Westchester County, where the electric delivery system is nearly all overhead, has local restoration times that vary from today at 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. tomorrow."
The public utility will be distributing dry ice at the following locations Sunday:

- North Castle Community Park, 205 Business Park Drive, Armonk (Sunday, August 9, 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., or when supplies run out)
- Cross County Shopping Center, 8000 Mall Walk, Yonkers (Sunday, August 9, 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., or when supplies run out)

NYSEG's Westchester customers are seeing progress in power restoration. The company is down to just under 1,500 without electricity as of 11 a.m. Sunday.
