8 Union Avenue Apartments Destroyed By Fire in New Rochelle
Older buildings without firewalls make it difficult to fight fires.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — At least 15 people were displaced from a three-story New Rochelle apartment building after a fire spread from the basement to the top floor.
The building at 215 Union Ave. had eight apartments, and all of them were destroyed, lohud.com said.
A fire official said old buildings with no firewalls, like the one that was destroyed, make it difficult to contain fires.
