AARP Offers Free Tax Help At The New Rochelle Public Library

Trained AARP volunteer counselors will meet with patrons in the library's Meeting Room and on the stage of the Ossie Davis theater.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The approach of tax time can cause understandable anxiety, but with a little free help from the experts, tax time doesn't need to be quite so taxing.

The New Rochelle Public Library announced that free, in-person tax assistance through AARP Tax Aide will be back again at the library during this year's tax season.

Assistance will be provided on a first come, first served basis. No appointments will be available. Help will be provided on Tuesdays and Thursdays, beginning Tuesday, February 2 through April 18, from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the main branch of the library. Trained AARP volunteer counselors will meet with patrons in the library’s Meeting Room and on the stage of the Ossie Davis theater, in the order in which they arrive. Masks will be required by patrons receiving assistance and tax preparers.
