Actor, Activist Ruby Dee to have New Rochelle Park Named after Her
The new name of the park will be Ruby Dee Park at Library Green.

The late Ruby Dee, who resided in New Rochelle for several years, will have the park next to the New Rochelle Public Library named after her, according to a report in USA Today.
The new name of the park will be Ruby Dee Park at Library Green. Her late husband, Ossie Davis, has a theater named after him also at the library.
An award-winning actor and activist, Dee passed away at 91 years old in June, and the Westchester Board of Legislators voted unanimously this week to approve the renaming of the park.
