NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A fire at a downtown parking garage injured two and damaged several cars, according to city officials.
Two people, including a firefighter, were hurt in the fire involving an electric vehicle at the New Roc City parking garage in New Rochelle, according to CBS New York. The fire started at the parking structure in the city and involved an electric vehicle.
A worker was repairing one of the familiar CircuitNR electric shuttles when the vehicle caught fire, and spread to other vehicles, according to the report.
According to the City of New Rochelle, the garage has since reopened, and streets in the area reopened after several hours.
The condition of the those injured has not yet been released.
